Hummingbird Magic

Posted by in on 28-7-14

The hummingbird’s in a frenzy
His tiny coloured wings beating the air
Drumming his sound in flap
To bottle brushes screaming ears, blazing
Red and on fire
Our jacketed little fireman desperate
To squelch the flame
Hose and suspenders missing, reaching in, bare
To sip the rescued nectar sweet
His heart racing
Watching him in muted awe, our adored savior, rising up
His head hued in emerald, forests and fern
His rescue complete, darts, as swift as a match stick blown
Magically disappearing into thin air
Chilled
