Mixed Haiku/Senryu

Posted by in on 15-7-12

mouth waters…
a plump chicken sits
on an open fire

a long busy grind…
the rooster’s loud shrill ends
the cold night’s silence

Peking ducks quack
as eggs roll over the coop…
the same old sandwich

a mouse
struggles out of sight…
the hiss of a snake

stomach grumbles…
a sigh at the sight
of empty pockets
